Dr. Trevor Peck sees education as a key to systemic change. As a licensed, practicing anesthesiologist who has worked in settings from Level 1 trauma to rural medicine, he believes patients would benefit most if medical cannabis became a go-to component of mainstream treatment as opposed to being considered a fringe, alternative treatment option.
Dr. Peck graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University before pursuing his doctoral degree at the same institution. He underwent his residency in anesthesiology at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and has been an anesthesiologist since 2009.. He holds licenses to practice medicine in Louisiana, Texas and Florida. Dr. Peck’s wealth of experience consists of high volume neurosurgery, obstetric, trauma, pediatric, and CV experience with rotations in acute and chronic pain.
Dr. Peck is a lifelong supporter of cannabis. As a member of the medical community, he sees cracks in the foundation of modern medicine around the over-administration of pharmaceutical medicines and believes medical cannabis carries the potential to mend those flaws. Through TeleLeaf, Dr. Peck approaches patients with a goal of healing versus bandaging.
Dr. Peck lives in his native state of Louisiana. He enjoys spending time with his two-year-old daughter and embraces opportunities to experience the outdoors and nature.
